SEATTLE, WASHINGTON 3/4/01
Today is the big day. I was up a 530 and took an ice cold shower. Not by
choice of course, it's just that the water never got hot. My sis said I'd better
get used to it.
Checked & rechecked my heavy load, then put it in the back of Toms pickup.
Tom drove down to the ferry, as did my mom & sis. Tom dropped me off at the
hosp at 730 and I met with several others who were going to walk down to the
ferry with me. Tom kept the cart in his pickup truck until the ferry ride was
over and we arrived in Bremerton, so the walk from the hosp to the ferry with
the rest of the group was really enjoyable.
The weather this wkend has been absolutely beautiful, sunny and around 45. The
ferry ride left at 9am and was an hour long to get to Bremerton. The ride was
really spectacular.
The hills in Bremerton were very steep. My mom & sis & Tom were still
here with me. We took some pictures of HUGE ships at the Bremerton Naval Base.
Continued on to Allyn several hrs later. Mom & sis headed home after that.
