On Friday Janet Witges picked me up in Salem and we drove to Olney, about 50 miles east. We stopped off at Noble, IL and Janet introduced me to Lee Bixby and her family. Lee previously worked for the Kansas City Royals, but she now started up Diamond Run Inc, a leadership training program. She also has a health spa that offers PiMag Water, FIR Sauna, Herbal Body Wraps, Magnetic Roll Out, Magnetic technology products, Far Infrared Technology, Life Force International products, Complete Weight Loss programs and Swiss Soflower European Skin Care. She showed me around and explained a lot of the products she sells. Lee invited me to set up a table and hand out literature about epilepsy and talk about my walk. I was thrilled to do that! The Epilepsy Foundation offices in Kansas City and St Louis mailed me some brochures to use, and the Ep Found in Salt Lake City mailed me copies of my schedule to hand out. It all went really well. The Health Fair was on Saturday from 10-4 and the line of people was fairly steady.
A lady in the booth next to mine was selling Juice Plus+ products, and gave me a pkg of JP Gummies, gummy candy that's nutritious for you. I enjoyed visiting with her. They are selling New Image products and when I told them about my walk, they gave me a 30 day supply of New Image Total and New Image Multi, 2 different types of vitamin supplements. (biziathome.com) Boy, between the vitamins, gummy candy & walking, I'm going to be in great shape! On Monday I'll walk from Salem to Xenia, where I'll stay at the Xenia Community Church. Then at 5pm I'll meet Pat for dinner. She is from the Flora Chamber of Commerce, where I'll be walking to on Tuesday. Then on Wednesday I'm scheduled to give some talks at the Flora High School.
