Howdy Everyone!
People are so nice!  On saturday & sunday I was able to stay at a motel in
Pulaski for free, plus 4 different restuarants let me eat for free while I was
there.  On friday night I went to the farmers market, where I gave a talk
about epilepsy, and also met Will Barclay, the candidate for 124th Assembly.
I enjoyed visiting with him.
On sunday I walked on in to Oswego, where I met up with Jim & Kim Cloonan.
Kim's daughter Karen has epilepsy, and she was picked as this years "Winning
Kid" from the Epilepsy Foundation office in Rochester.  I was able to stay
with them while I was in Oswego, and she had a lot of things lined up.
That afternoon we went to "A Taste of Oswego," put on by the Chamber of
Commerce.  I thought it was a really neat idea.  You pay $12 at the gate, and
then you can go from booth to booth to booth and taste every imagineable kind
of food for free.  I also met up with the Mayor there, and also the Chamber of
Commerce.
Then on Monday Kim took me to the State Fair in Syracuse.  While there I
was interviewed by the Channel 9 News.  I had a great time at the fair, and
especially appreciated seeing the memorial they had set up for 9/11.
That evening I attended a Oswego City Counsel Mtg, and was given city pins
to send to my 4th graders.  Mayor John Gosek asked me to give a talk about my
walk, and then presented me with the  pins.
On tuesday I met with the Chairman of the Oswego County Legislative, Morris
Sorbello.  He presented me with a proclomation in recognition of my walk.
We then went to the Oswego COunty Promotion & Tourism, and they gave me a
tote-bag full of goodies.  Then at noon I spoke at the Rotary meeting, and
they made a donation to the Epilepsy Foundation.
That afternoon I was interviewed by WRVO radio station.
This weekend I'll be meeting up with the Epilepsy Foundation office in
Rochester.  They've got several things lined up, including a van-load of us
going to Niagara Falls on saturday.
Hey, I've got more to say, but the library's closing.  I gotta go -- KB
