Oregon (Crater Lake 3)

As always, I took a ton of pictures so I apologize if they get a little redundant here but I feel its my duty to capture almost every possible image.

My friend Larry and I posed for this shot. Well, okay, we didn't really pose, but we did try to look as cool as possible.

A nice image for the background of your computer here, this next image looks pretty cool. Go ahead and ask for a larger version.

Another island in the lake is this small island called Phantom Ship Island.

I thought that it made for some really neat shots with the sun in the background as it was getting closer towards the horizon. These images were shot from the east side of the lake. The highway makes its way all around the perimeter of the lake for different views and angles of this natural wonder.

There is lots of wildlife and I'm sure I could have seen more, had I explored further on some of the many hiking trails around the area. I really liked this picture of the bird.

Then one more shot of the crater before I headed off.

I went up to Portland to get on my flight back home was was so thrilled to have such a clear day and got these shots of the Columbia river and Mt. Hood.

I had a great trip that summer and got tons of pictures and got to visit with so many of my friends. It was a great time.

I would recommend Oregon for a fantastic vacation spot. With so many natural wonders to see in a relatively small area, its got plenty to occupy several weeks of your time.

However, I strongly recommend that you make the trip in the summer. It can rain quite a bit during the rest of the year.

I hope that you enjoyed my tour of Oregon and hope that you enjoy the rest of my web site as well. Thank you for visiting and send me your thoughts.
