Thursday's had just become "Special Places" day. I began sending pictures of
special places I've been and special things I've seen. Later these became known as "Geographicals".

This one, here is a picture of the South Falls at the Silver Falls State park
in Oregon. This park is located approximately 26 miles east of Salem, Or.
and has about seven water falls spanning the same river over a distance of
about seven miles all together. This park is about a 30 minute drive from my
sister's house and the town where I lived for many years growing up. There
is a nice trail that extends the length of the park and all the falls. This
fall, as well as others along the trail, has a nice trail that goes under
and behind the water fall. The fall is approximately 177 feet high.
This has always been one of my favorite places and I try to go there
every time I visit Oregon.
