While on an adventure and
hiking through the Blue Mountains, deep in the
Australian outback, I came across this little guy. Well, maybe not
so little,
and maybe not so much a guy. (hard to tell from this angle)
Anyway, it was about 3 inches long. So
considering some of the slugs I
have seen in the Pacific Northwest of our own country at lengths
of over 6
inches or so, this thing wasn't so big. But it did have some
interesting
markings and colors that I had never seen before.
It almost escaped me and my camera's probing
lens as it quickly
attempted to duck away behind a small limb. But it just wasn't
fast enough
for the Ninja-quick reflexes of this photographer. No way.
The Blue Mountains are about a 2-4 hour drive
outside of Sydney,
Australia and are truly a beautiful place to venture through.
