* Liquid Apparition *

I had created this image, titled "Liquid Apparition" back in 1999. This
has got to be, and still is, my favorite. The full size image is awesome and I had blown it up into a poster size. You can click on the image above to view a larger version.

The original photo is of a small waterfall, in Oregon, at the Silver
Falls State Park.

How I did it...
One of my all time favorite graphic images, "Liquid Apparition" took me hours of tedious work. Taking a simple picture of a small waterfall I put a bright lens flare effect in the water. I took a smearing tool and began to drag the brightness of the star and smear it down and into the water below. This provided with some incredible effects that totally had me in awe. The much larger original is really something to see. Click on the image above to see a larger version of this work.
