Do you ever get that sinking feeling?
Well, as you can see, sometimes I do.

How I did it...
This has always been a popular image. I used a background image from a picture I took looking over a pier in Adelaide, Australia, back in 1998. I The water was actually this incredibly beautiful green color you see in the image.
I later took a picture of myself, in my apartment, reaching towards the camera. Using a masking tool I outlined myself and cut myself out of the background. I outlined my hand and cut it off of my body and then paste myself over the green water background. I performed a ripple effect with a very cheap software package. But I actually took quite some time playing with the variables to get my desired amount of ripple. I then paste the hand back on top of the image to give the illusion of reaching out of the water.
