Just in case anybody was wondering, last week's flower picture came from Melanie, my girlfriend's front yard. She complained because I didn't mention her in the email posting, and referred to her as "a friend".

It has now been identified by several people. Below are some of the responses.
"they are dianthus......also called pinks.....very nice little flowers.....very pretty....... :)"
        "They are Sweet Williams ..."
"The flower is Dianthus of the carnation family, but known as a Border Pink"
Now, today's picture comes from the Blue Mountains just outside of Sydney Australia. These little flowers were growing on the edge of a very, very, very tall cliff.
