This flower picture came from the side of a freeway in East Texas. It has always been known to me as an Indian Blanket. I'm not sure if that is the proper name but that's what I was always told. These grow all over the place and tend to saturate an area like the Bluebonnets and make and nice blanket of red. Very pretty. Oh wait, is it too sissy for a guy to call flowers "pretty"? Just checking.
