This image is actually from one of my sunset pictures that I took some time ago.

How I did it...
     I used my graphics tablet and a smear feature and just started
smearing trees into the sky and smearing clouds all around and blending them
in the sky.
    I think that it gives the illusion of an actual painting.
        Of course its not quite so easy to see in this low resolution copy.
