This is a flower from a Magnolia tree. Although this picture was taken
in Charlottesville, Virginia, It induces fond memories from my home state
where I was born in Rockdale, Texas, only thirty minutes from Austin.
        (heh heh, "Rockdale". Sounds like something right out of the
Flintstones, doesn't it? Maybe that was a town close to Bedrock.)
