How I did it...
The background is an actual picture of the sky at night. Of course it
came out way too dark so I kept enhancing the brightness and contrast until
I came up with random noise that looked like stars.

The planets were made previously with a neat little trick I came up with
so I just paste them onto the background.

The exploding celestial body actually started out as a real picture I
took of our own moon. I changed the brightness and contrast until I came up
with a really bright orange and red ball.
On a graphics program I used a "Cone" effect. Other programs call this
similar effect "Pinch/Punch", "Stretch", and one even calls it "Fisheye" in
which you can adjust the "fishiness".
After performing the "Cone" effect the ball began to shrink in upon
itself. I did it again and again until it looked somewhat like what you see.
I then paste and resized copies of little blue stars all around the
center. The little blue stars are actually pictures of the reflection of a
small blue LED light on a blank computer monitor.
