* Devil's Tower 2 *
I have an Aunt that lives about ten miles from
the Devil's Tower National
Monument in the Northeast corner of Wyoming.
I had spent some time with her when I was
younger.
The Devil's Tower is a single, igneous rock
formation that protrudes
from the ground and can be seen for hundreds of miles all around.
Here in this picture, while walking around the
perimeter trail, I
decided to climb up part of the rock to get a view and got a
little carried
away and went up a little too far. I got this picture with one
hand while
clinging on to a rock with the other.
This picture was taken back in 1992 when I had
bought my first Sony
Mavica camera. The Mavica MVC-C1. This was not a digital camera
but it took
up to 50 analog video pictures on one, very small, 2.5"
floppy disk.
The images could then be played onto a TV or
VCR where I recorded them
all on to a tape and was able to erase and reuse the $10 each
disks.
Unfortunately, even though the images looked very clear on TV
they were
still very poor quality because as many of you know, a
standard TV signal
has very low resolution.
