* Saddleback Caterpillar Moth *
Well this is weird. Normally
when I come home there's almost always plenty of odd creatures at
my front door to greet me and I often take pictures of
them. Well, as if I needed any more strange
critters at my door, it appears that some anonymous individual
has left me a gift this time and made an impromptu request for
today's "Biological" picture. When I
arrived home late this Monday evening I was surprised to find at
my front door a plastic jug with punctured air holes in the top
and eight little Saddleback Caterpillars inside. Now I wonder if this person knew that the
spines on the sides of these little creatures are actually mildly
poisonous and, if touched, will sting. But then again, maybe this
person knew that before they dropped them at my door. Hey, why not just plant a bomb under my car?
If you want I'm sure that I could come up with plans for such a
thing and change Monday's emails to "Homicidal
Mondays". Sounds like a good name for that day anyhow. So, to make matters worse, I'm sitting here
going through these creepy pictures of these caterpillars and
writing this email when a huge Wolf spider runs right across my
bare foot and scared me out of my wits. I'm starting to get
really tired of this place.
You may not believe this but I really HATE
BUGS!! I've tried to face my fears and have
even gone as far as holding a live black widow spider in my
hands. But that didn't work.
I still HATE BUGS!!
