* Goldenrod Spider *
I walked up to a nice big black berry bush to pick some berries and I notice this bumble bee just sitting there on one of the blossoms. It didn't fly away and as I got closer I realized that it was dead and something had a death grip on it. Just Sunday I found another similar spider sitting right up on top of a bright pink thistle. It was very easy to see as it stuck out like a soar thumb.
    I looked this up today and they actually had two pictures for the Goldenrod Spider. Also known as the Flower Spider or Red-Spotted Crab Spider. Now, in the book, one picture had the bright yellow spider and one had the white one with pink stripes down its sides.. Either way these little jerks like to hide in a flower and wait for an unsuspecting visitor so they can attack them. Now the smart ones usually like to sit and wait deep in flowers that are the same color as they are, such as the white one with the bumble bee. This yellow one must have been really stupid or color blind or something. Either way, it didn't have any bugs visiting that flower.
