* Bird on a Tree *
    Boy, I'm really lacking in knowledge here. First of all I couldn't identify Monday's picture of what might have been a "conk" fungus or a chanterelle mushroom.
    I do believe that I have seen some of those dried up in jars in a store somewhere. Somebody said, "The are a very mild flavored edible mushroom." I wasn't about to even touch the thing.
    Today's picture here is another mystery to me. I saw several of these birds up in Oregon. This one was atop a tree next to Crater Lake. These birds reminded me of a Mockingbird and had just about the same rude disposition. Of course I know it wasn't one but I don't have that book to tell me these things.
