* Lava Lake View *
This is a clearing in the Lava Lake area in Oregon. I have very
fond memories of this special place as it was a place that my
father took me many years ago. It is also very close to the
Crescent Mountain trail that I have many pictures of also.
Lava Lake was formed a long long time ago when a lava flow from a nearby volcano covered an existing lake bed. Now there just remains a huge clearing with some amazing properties. The amazing thing is that as you walk around the lava field you can find random streams all over the clearing coming right out of the ground and then going right back in.
