          Now Saturday's are suppose to
be pictures that my father "had" taken. This one is actually
"of" my father so I know that it was not taken by him. My
mother never could seem to take a picture without it being out of
focus or not even in the shot without the tops of the heads cropped
out, so I don't think that she took this one.
I'm not really sure who took this picture. However, I felt like
sharing this picture of my father. Although he had all his faults, (I
could make a list) and however he tried not to express his sensitive
side, (yeah, tough guy)  he had such an amazing way with people
and animals that I have learned is very rare. Maybe it was his innocence
and childish charm that he possessed that drew people to him. But in
any case everybody seemed to love being in his presence. I have
learned from so many of his mistakes but yet have tried to accomplish
so many of his talents and positive aspects. He always seemed to have
a different perspective on the obvious that has, since then, made me
see things through different eyes. (Maybe, sometimes, too much so) But
the world is such an amazing place with so many incredibly interesting
things that we really must look into the simple things and appreciate
all that is presented to us. Every day we are blessed with the beauty
that is all around us. We need to embrace it and appreciate it.
The world is always talking to us. Stop and listen. Be a part of it.
Help make it a better place and you may find peace in your heart.
Also,
have you ever noticed how much people's ears grow as they get older?
Especially when they have short hair cuts?
