The following is an excerpt from a science fiction book that I began writing a few years ago.
"Occasionally his identity could be revealed when the eyes would make a slight transformation. Tiny slivers of radioactive alumina flakes are forced to the surface around the pupils. These flakes would absorb the reflected X-rays sending an image back through his neural network, thus enabling him to see shapes through solid objects."
