While chasing the swallowtail butterfly from last week's picture, I was startled by this lizard that scampered up the tree right next to me.
Not exactly sure as to what particular type of lizard this is, it did somewhat resemble what I have read described as a blue tailed lizard. With many different variations of this type of lizard it has been discovered that one certain species has been known to bear young without mating. Which means that they are all female and can fertilize themselves. Thus the result being a perfect DNA match of the parent. A clone.
