Here is something that I
didn't know existed. The actually glowing of seawater. This happened
one night on my way back down from Alaska. All along the sides of the
ferry the water began to light up as if there was some bright blue
flood lights shining from the front and rear of the boat. I asked one
of the staff why they had lights on and he told me about the fact that
the water has phosphorus in it and lights up when it is agitated. This
image was at the rear of the boat when the water was being churned up
by the propellers.
This image has only been
enhanced by increasing the brightness and contrast of the original.
