* The Old Rag Crevice *

Looking like something right out of a fairy tale adventure, this interesting crevice has actual stair-like rocks that lead hikers up and through to the other side. Other than the one annoying obstacle in the path, (a huge, wedged boulder that you have to duck under), this crevice is a truly special, surreal place.

To display a better view of this place, at this angle, this is actually two images stitched together.

Just this Thursday I went on a hiking trip with a group of friends. Old Rag Peak is probably the most popular hiking trail in the Shenandoah Mountains. It is approximately 2.8 miles to the summit elevation of 3,268 feet. With much of the hike traversing through a barrage of huge granite slabs and boulders, it was quite the entertaining hike for this guy.
