* Video Effects *

I worked and created some interesting video effects for our Christmas service at church. We wanted to project a lot of space images and video on the ceiling, during a song, "God of Wonders". I used a bunch of my original space images and interacted them with a bunch of images from NASA's web site. I attached many of my own objects and planets to various images of nebulas and gas clouds from the Hubble pictures. I then used Corel Rave to animate the objects. Corel Rave is a graphic tool for creating web and flash animations. Not quite designed for what I was doing but it gave me some interesting results. Although it did seem to freak out all three of my computers from time to time.

I set in about 400 frames for the animation. I took the actual image of the nebula for the background and just enlarged it, from the center, throughout the clip. The planets I started small and closer to the center at the beginning and had them much larger and outside the image at the end of the clip, creating the illusion of depth as the visual perspective was moving past the planets towards the nebula.

After some enhancing and compression I should have some of these clips available on my web site soon.
