As I suspected, these tiny little flowers were not to be found in my wildflower field guide book. They were so tiny I didn't really see them until I was right on top of them. I was actually taking pictures of some much larger flowers when I noticed these things all down under all the other, more obvious flowers.
To gauge the size here, the individual flowers themselves were no more than two millimeters in diameter.
