Some of the most impressive cloud formations I have seen were from high altitudes. Either from skydiving or riding in a plane. Above a bottom layer of clouds you can often see some amazing things. Much like this storm cloud here. Unfortunately I wasn't fast enough to capture some of the lightning bolts coming from within.
