* Louisiana *

Several hours, after crossing the Mississippi River, I was driving through Louisiana. With it being nice and warm I drove with the window down as I was passing lots of bayous. It is a very beautiful part of the country that I always enjoy driving through.

Remember history? Now being one of the smallest states in the south, at one time, Louisiana, at about 800,000 square miles, had covered about one third of the whole country. Which was then purchased from France, in 1803, at a cost of about four cents per acre.
