* Texas on Interstate 20 *

Texas is a very large state. Driving on interstate 20 will take just about a full day to cross it. I have heard many people complain about the drive, stating how long and boring it is. But I rather enjoy it myself.

With all the various types of scenery, it is never boring to me. From El Paso, in west Texas, bordering Mexico, the edge of the desert, and the foot of the Rocky Mountains. Then to the dry areas between Midland and Odessa, you can see fields of oil wells. On between Abilene and the Dallas/Fort Worth area where you find a variety of rolling hills and trees, like this image here. Then to East Texas, between Dallas and Louisiana, you will find lots of pine trees.

Sure some of the scenery is flat and there may not be much to see. But just as it is with any place we go, if we really open our eyes and look around, we might learn to appreciate the small things and find that there's endless wonders and adventure all around us.
