* Hummingbird Perch *

I've never really seen very many hummingbirds land for any length of time. It always seemed that they were in such a hurry and never had time to stop. Ironically, I guess they never really have time to stop and smell the flowers.

This one however is quite bold and loves to rest in this same spot. It usually allows me to get rather close up, at least within a foot or so. I found it quite interesting the other day when my aunt was changing the feeder. The hummingbird reminded me of an excited dog waiting for a treat. It kept fluttering all around her as she was putting the feeder back together. I then got a few more shots of it buzzing around the feeder.
