* Abstract Pointillism *

I'm not really fond of this image but somebody told me that they really liked it and found it quite interesting. This image doesn't really portray a good display of the art of pointillism but, by the composition, totally fabricated from small circles and dots, you can see how challenging this can be for true artists.
I've always been fascinated with the art of pointillism. How an artist can compose an image totally out of small dots or tiny circles is incredible.

How I did it...
A special effect from my graphic software enables me to select a specific size or circles. Then, with a simple movement of my graphic pen, it lays down numerous circles. As I was just experimenting, and quickly drew this image free-hand, I didn't take any time to really focus on the details. But I'm sure, with a little time and effort, a person could really come up with some fantastic images using this feature.
