While touring the country, one of the most fascinating places I went was Baja, Mexico. After riding down through the mainland I took a ferry over to Baja where I rode all the way back up to Tijuana and San Diego. Some of the plants and wildlife were a lot more than I expected. I expected a barren wasteland and, although some of it really seemed that way, it was still quite spectacular and alive.

It seemed that the highest points of my trip were the extreme places. As I call them, the four corners of the continent, Alaska, Newfoundland, Baja, and the Florida Keys. Each one of these places certainly hold a great deal of admiration from me. But maybe its because they were all key points along my trip.

As I recall thinking...
"Well, I guess that's as far as I can go. Time to turn around and go back."
