* Sabino Canyon Dam * |
Along the lower Sabino Canyon trail remains a dam that was built in 1937. Back then it was a popular place for Tucson residents. Now the dam has filled in with silt and vegetation. But just below the dam people still like to hang out and enjoy the water and environment. Like this youngster playing around the rocks and small pools of water. The water, coming off of the Santa Catalina Mountains is pretty cool, and a very refreshing break from the heat of a day's hiking adventure.
