Taken from the southwest, looking east, this is a shot of Lake Tahoe from Emerald Bay. Lake Tahoe is centered on the border between California and Nevada, approximately 20 miles southwest of Reno, and about 12 miles west of Carson City.
I just have to say that, if you've never been, you should visit the area sometime. Its gorgeous and there's so many things to do, you will not be disappointed.
Of course, not being a gambler myself, I cannot recommend frequenting the casinos (cough, cough, gag) that are located on the edge of the Nevada borders of the lake.
