* Agave *

Now what we have here is a simple agave plant. Although this plant is not all that "simple". It is most commonly found in the southwestern United States and Mexico.

The agave plant, also called the century plant, has many uses. As well as being used by southwestern cultures for many years as a source of soap, food, fiber, medicine and weapons, it has also been more used as an ingredient in the process of making liquor. Most commonly in the primary production of Tequila.

This plant also has some amazing other aspects that I will share at another time, including the information about the tall, 25 foot stalk that sometimes grows from the center.

But more importantly, aren't you glad I didn't send you more information about that stupid saguaro cactus?
