* Bread Fruit *

I was noticing these large green fruit hanging from some of the trees in Hawai'i and had to ask somebody what they were. A local told me that they were called bread fruit and the natives use to prepare them and eat them as a reasonable replacement to foods such as rice. Then, another guy interrupted and said, "Yeah, but if you want to eat them, you'd better stock up on a lot of spices to overcome the bland taste." Hmm, then the word, "TOFU" came to mind.
