It never ceases to amaze me how some of the diverse plants and animals actually got to the islands over the years. Of course birds could fly, and they brought seeds with them. Then, man had brought some of the animals along. But some of the other had somehow made it there on their own. So it makes me wonder about this little guy here. Did his ancestors hop a ship? Or did they somehow swim all that way, or float all the way on some kind of debris or logs or something?
