* Flustered Roadrunner *

As I watched this roadrunner one day, I carefully followed it along the side of the house and around the front. It was carefully stalking the quail and other birds that my cousin feeds every day. As they all congregate to the free food, so do the predators. Of course I enjoy the predators more. I mean, how many freakin' quail do we need running all around anyway?
Anyway, the roadrunner got around to the front of the house and was watching the quail when my cousin came out of the house and all the quail ran away. The roadrunner appeared to get a little displeased and ruffled its feathers in frustration. It seemed rather disappointed as it headed off into the bushes in search of a meal elsewhere.
