From my friends' cabin up on Mt. Lemmon, there's just a slight crevice in the hills where you can actually see the desert below. At night you can see some of the lights of eastern Tucson. But its nice in the blistering heat of the summer months to be able to escape to the cool mountains, and peek at the poor melting people below. But of course I eventually have to come back down out of the mountains and join them again myself.
