Actually these two shots were just about a second off from each other. As I had the shutter open, and got the first bolt, before I could close it, the second struck to the right.

Although it's a lot easier now to take pictures of lightning at night, it still takes a lot of patience and the courage to stand outside during a thunderstorm.
Okay, so it may not actually be courage that I'm using. But more like ignorance.
