Now the barrel cactus seems to be somewhat similar to the saguaro cactus in a lot of ways. But it definitely doesn't have the life span of one.
Now you may correct me if I'm wrong, but that may be due to the fact that they're just plain stupid. They grow straight up, but then they start to lean towards the sun. So far that, eventually their weight makes them fall right over, and they die.

Pretty stupid if you ask me.
