* Angry Bull *

 Shortly after the encounter with the cattle drive I came around another corner and almost ran into a small herd of antelope. Then, just around another corner I almost ran over this three-foot bull snake that was about to cross the road. Snakes just don't get it as they extend their full length and try to cross a road. It makes it a lot more difficult to avoid running over them when they're stretched half way across your lane.
So I stopped and tried to coax this little fella away from the road. However, it became quite angry with me and struck at me several times and for a moment even tried to chase me. I eventually subdued the critter and carried it across the road and up into the rocks where it was headed. But while cambering around the rocks, trying to find a good place to release it, I thought it might be a rather ironic moment if I was to get bit my a rattlesnake while I was up there.
But don't worry, I didn't.
