* One-Seed Juniper * |
(Juniperus monosperma)
Okay, so this is a rare occurrence and I am actually posting what this plant is. The "One-Seed Juniper" is from the Cypress family and this specimen is a close up of the flowers from a male plant. The female of these trees produce small berries, (cones).
This picture was taken on a hiking trail near Sedona, Arizona.
