We lost a good friend and a close member of the family this weekend. 

Leo had a tumor growing on the side of his face so Carl took him down to have the veterinary clinic perform a biopsy on it and remove the growth. The tumor turned out to be benign and the doctor said that Leo looked to be in very good health for a dog his age. Unfortunately, I guess his health was not quite as good as we'd hoped for and, a few days after the procedure, Leo passed away.

We buried him behind the mesquite tree, in the grass that he loved to play in so very much.
