* Big Grasshopper *

Now the focal point on my camera can sometimes be rather sensitive, but not this much. So to show a bit of a perspective on how large this grasshopper was, you can see that the front is in focus, while the tail is not. This critter was about 3 inches long.
But I think it's funny when I see a grasshopper in Arizona, and wonder why it's here. Kind of like when my uncle Fred requests me to sing, "Green Green Grass of Home". Because there's really not that much grass out here. And Fred must be missing his summer home in South Dakota.

Not so sure about the grasshopper, or how it ever got this big. 
Maybe it feeds on cactus, 
but I would find that hard to swallow.
