At the Air and Space Museum here in Tucson they have a fascinating tour that takes you through fields and fields of old, outdated and unused aircraft. Most of these aircraft are decommissioned and used only for spare parts for use for other countries and their air force aircraft. It can actually make a person rather uncomfortable in the thought that these older aircraft, purchased from the United States, with spare parts being purchased from us as well, might possibly be used against us in the future. But for a dollar, it appears as though our government just slightly ignores this potential threat, and relies on the hopes that all of our current and future weapons will keep us safe and secure. But that's as far as I'm going to elaborate with my political views.

But another fascinating thing that I learned at the museum was the fact that they periodically destroy some of the aircraft. With a massively large guillotine-type machine, they totally chop certain aircraft into various different pieces. These events are intentionally performed in total view of the sky and satellite surveillance systems, in order to satisfy the Russian government. In which they perform the same actions  to one of their own aircraft. This is all to prove good faith towards each other in the hopes to continue future peace between our two countries.

But I refuse to totally elaborate on how stupid I think this endeavor is. Because, just as we are all destroying old and decommissioned and outdated aircraft, we are all still designing and building new and much more dangerous and advanced weapons and defense systems.

And besides, just one of these bombers is larger than my whole house. And with a little bit of plumbing and duct tape, I could live in one of those stupid things.
