Okay, I have to apologize for the bad
joke here. But in traveling around the country I've often found it humorous as
to what different people actually call themselves. Of course we're all referred
to as humans and people, men and women, etc. But in different places we seem to
be forced to distinguish people as to their general locations, as if we were all
from various tribes or something.
So Texas people are called Texans, and in Virginia they are Virginians, etc.
etc. But some places have what I would speculate are some very goofy names. Like
people in Oregon are called Oregonians, and in Florida they are referred to as
Floridians. (Sounds almost alien.)
Then for the specific cities or towns people are also referred to as those
specific names. In Boston they are most commonly called Bostonians, and in New
York they are New Yorkers. So I thought it interesting to speculate what people
from Baltimore would be called. Or for that matter, people from Maryland.
Of course if you ask anybody from Virginia, they would most likely call somebody
from Maryland a Yankee. But typically they are referred to as Marylanders, and
people from Baltimore would be called Baltimoreans.
But after my visit to the Baltimore Aquarium, from the image above, the place
was slammed full of people and I found that there was some very interesting
people there. Not of which I would find to be the most pleasurable kind of
people I have ever been around.
But of course I have to admit that my visit was during the holiday season and most likely a large amount of the people that were crammed into the aquarium facility were probably from somewhere else anyway.
But I thought it an amusing speculation of what to call these people.
I do apologize to anybody from Maryland
or Baltimore. It is just a joke, and I don't really feel that way about the
people from there. After all some of my best friends are from there.
And they are not complete idiots.
(hee hee, just kidding again)
