Quite often, when the rain starts to fall out here in the desert, it never reaches the ground before it evaporates into a vapor and rises back up into the sky, only to form into a cloud again, and attempt the cycle all over again. However, when it starts to fall over the hills, the conditions are more favorable and some of it will make it all the way to the ground.
