I had a great day taking it easy. I got caught up with my laundry, and had fun checking out the changes in this town since I was last here 20 yrs ago.
I enjoyed visiting with the Chamber of Commerce here, and they were a great help to me. Because of them I ate lunch at Cow Belle Cafe for free (philly sandwich & fries,) and supper at Sharkeys Restaurant & Lounge for free (fish & chips.) Plus breakfast tomorrow morning will be free too, at Our Place Pancake Steakhouse & Lounge. Tradewinds Motel let me stay for one night for free, and the Chamber has also found someone to haul my cart to Tillamook tomorrow, so I'll enjoy walking those 15 miles without it.
Meanwhile, the Chamber in Tillamook has made reservations for me at Best Western for 2 nights, and they've got people lined up to haul my cart from there. Plus they've contacted the Chamber in Lincoln City.
The Chamber in Lincoln City is already making arrangements for me to stay in a motel there -- not an easy thing to do right during spring break.
I've been interviewed by 2 papers in the last 2 days, and they said they're going to contact The Oregonian Newspaper and KATU Channel 2 News. So we'll see. Things seem to be falling into place and working out really well. Take care! KB
