Delta Colorado

Howdy Everyone!
Last night I discovered that there is a vast difference between living in a house near the RR Tracks and sleeping in a tent near the RR Tracks. The train whistle is VERY VERY LOUD.
It was really stormy last night, too. It was pretty interesting watching lightening from inside a tent. The rain fell gently for a couple of hours, and the fresh smell of rain was wonderful.
I've been doing my walking very early in the morning through these hot days. I usually get going around 4am or so and then quit before noon. I'm not real thrilled to be walking in the dark, but I sure like the idea of shutting down early.
I really enjoyed meeting with the Epilepsy Foundation crew. I was able to attend one of their brain-injury support group meetings and really enjoyed that. They had a Chiropractor there as their guest speaker and he talked about the importance of nutrition & health. After the meeting I was visiting with him and he was really impressed with my story. He told me to stop by his office and he'd give me a free check-up. I've never been to a Chiropractor before in my life, so I wasn't sure what I was getting into, but I said ok.
So I went to his office and he had me lay face down on a table. I asked him if he was going to play soft music and give me a massage and he said no (rats.) He poked & prodded a little and said the only place I was out was in my pelvic area and that I was in great shape. He then called up 2 more Chiropractors in Delta and Montrose and said that I could stop at both those places and get a free tune-up when I get to those towns.
Now I'm in Delta. I visited with the lady at the Chamber of Commerce and she contacted the hospital. Tomorrow the hospital is going to have a "Brown-bag lunch" for its employees while I give a talk about epilepsy and my walk. Actually I'm kinda nervous about it. Surely they have had FAR MORE experience with epilepsy & seizures than I ever will, and I find the idea of me talking to them about epilepsy extremely intimidating. But I'll give it my best shot.
I'm staying at a campground (for free) tonight & tomorrow night. On Friday I'll head for Montrose. The Chamber will find someone to haul my cart to Montrose. Y'all take care and have a great day! KB
