Biological Tuesday |
This is actually a picture of a table.
I know its not a real animal but this table
was quite impressive.
I strolled into this art gallery in Orlando,
Florida and there at the
front was this table. It was a huge octopus holding up the glass.
It was made from wood covered with silicone
rubber and was incredibly
realistic all the way down to the eyes. The price of about
$10,000.00 was
also quite impressive.
They also had many other interesting pieces of
art from paintings to
bronze sculptures to other tables.
There were two coffee tables in particular
that also grasped my
interest. One was of bronze dolphins and the other was manatees.
They were
in swimming poses with young at their sides. The most impressive
feature was
that it seemed as though their backs were protruding through the
center of
the glass to give the illusion of breaking the surface of the
water.
I have pictures of these as well. If you are
interested in seeing them,
let me know.
